Writing Woes

You know what sucks?  When you have an idea for a story, but you don't have a point to it...

I mean, it's like most of my stories aren't epic...They either A. tell a funny story or b. fill in the gap of an episode.  To me, though not significant, there is a point. 

But now I've been cooking up this story in my brain and it's gonna be a looong sucker, but when I get to the conclusion or what effect the stories have on the characters, I'm drawing a blank.

It's kind of like writing a 40 chapter story about going to the grocery store.  After you're done reading it, it's like WTC?

I'll probably put it on the back burner until I get some kind of clarity--I hate having a plot bunny bouncing in my brain--it has a tendency to not leave me alone.  *hits head on desk*

At least I've got three birthdays this week so I'll be forced to making some pic fics.

First - I hear you on writing woes. Does it help if I say this precise thing happened to me with.... 70% of the stories I wrote? There's a great idea and I can see and feel scenes in my head and then I ask myself where is the point?!

Second - if you want to bounce off some ideas, I'm here.

Thanks! I'm still tossing it in my head--maybe I'll write a drabble just to get things going, you know?

Episode? It doesn't matter really, as long as it is first 3 seasons and some heart warming family and friendship fic.
