So, to reiterate what I said on my Twitter, "I came. I saw. I Avenged."
Do not expect coherency here. I'm in full fangirl mode.
First, this movie, guh, this movie...there was so much pretty. The story, the characters, the special effects, the everything.
(Spoilers ahead.)
Random thoughts:
The Bruce and Tony scenes were quite adorable, but not as adorable as Coulson's fanboying over Steve.
Speaking of which, I think my love of Steve has now gone into Totally Crushing mode. Curse that "old fashioned" personality that I absolutely adore. And, really, must Chris Evans look so delicious?
And while we are on the subject of crushes, Keira asked for Thor posters. And dolls. And desktop backgrounds.
Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. Kudos to him for making me care about a character that I didn't think I would even notice.
The scene with Pepper and Tony and her calling Agent Coulson "Phil" totally made me think about the fic I wrote back in December. And I love the fact that she was barefooted (it's the little things, ok?) They were totally charming together. It's like they are at the "we're very comfortable in our relationship" stage. Which, of course, has me worried what is going to happen in IM3.
I knew about Coulson before I went into the theatre, but still, "WHY???" (First, Astrid on Fringe, now Coulson...I'm waiting for Cortana in Halo. It's a dangerous year to be a character I love.) Mike is really bummed. I think he is wearing black today ;)
I've gotta learn some of Black Widow's moves. (Though, I still cringed at the scene when she inserts a new clip and doesn't load the chamber. You would think a master assassin would know what to do.)
Loki was a perfect villain. I have to say one of my favorite scenes was when he was just kickin' it when Thor was fighting with Tony and Steve. Heh.
The girls did really well, especially with as long as the movie was. And the fact that we stayed for both of the extra scenes. I asked the girls what their favorite scenes were. Keira: When Hulk slams Loki around (do I have a whumper for a daughter? LOL) Autumn: the second extra scene. Now I don't know how many of you saw it, but it's basically the six of them sitting at a table in a busted up restaurant. No words are said and Autumn thinks this scene is totally hilarious.
And, there is nothing that conflicted with my Captain America fic that I am writing! Glee! (Of course, I need to finish this Halo fic. And the Push one...)
