Er, a little help?  
OK, so remember, I don't own the Burton AiW DVD (I know! Terrible!) but I am inspired to write something for the Maniness Challenge.

Anyway, before Alice goes and looks at the Oraculm (when she first gets to Underland), is it implied that the others knew the Alice was going to save Underland? Or were they as surprised as her when they saw it roll out?

They knew it was her (well "her", there was some talk of her being The Wrong Alice for a while, but they knew it was her).

T'was fairly heavily implied. Hatter knew the poem "prophecy" was about her, and the others clearly knew that they NEEDED an Alice. She just might not be the right one.
