Rawr.
Please, Chris Dodd, just shut up:

"It is an irresponsible response and a disservice to people who rely on them for information and use their services. It is also an abuse of power given the freedoms these companies enjoy in the marketplace today."

I'll try to be calm. These companies are PRIVATELY OWNED which means they have freedom of speech. If they want to blackout their site for a day, GOOD FOR THEM. The government can't control them so just go away, Senator Dodd.

Now Reid needs to do the right thing and pull it from the floor.  Like now.

Businesses can service what they want, and these sites aren't any different, imo! If a store decided to stop selling a certain product, the government wouldn't go in and tell them they have to start selling it again because it's "irresponsible" if they don't! And 'abuse of power'?? Rich, coming from someone who is trying to use their power to tell those same companies what they believe they should or shouldn't do. Facepalming so much right now.

Also I wonder what SOPA and PIPA are (or at least foster) other than abuse of power...

What. the. hell.

Seriously. WHAT. It sounds like he already thinks his bills passed. Ugh. BS like that makes me absolutely hate politicians. :/ YOU KNOW WHAT'S IRRESPONSIBLE? PUTTING A SET OF BILLS LIKE THAT OUT THERE.

This whole thing needs to just go away. Ugh. It's so bad and creates so much red tape.
