30 Day Meme: Day 4
Day 4: Favorite Book

Non-fiction: The Bible. No surprise for those who know me, LOL.  It was the first book I got on my Kindle and I've read through it at least four times. Love the prophesies, love the Word, love the hope.

Fiction: Too many to list? Seriously, I read more often than most people breathe, LOL.  But my current favorites are The Complete Sherlock Holmes Collection and The Fall of Reach.

19th century mysteries, a book about a video game and a book that is the cornerstone of the Christian faith...yup, my taste in books is about as eclectic as my taste in music...LOL

SHERLOCK HOLMES :D

You know, it still surprises me to learn that the Bible is something that people read. I guess it's a culture thing. :s

Yeah, Sherlock Holmes as awesome because there are so many stories. I'm one of those people who love to find an author and read everything by him/her. The more reading, the better.

Well, to be fair, the Bible is a difficult book to read. It takes a lot of dedication to get through the whole thing. (Though I enjoy the prophesies, it can be tough to understand/put into context.)

I love the fact that you listed The Bible as your favorite non-fiction book. Even much as I go to church and love God, I don't know that I would have done the same, though I should. *hugs*

I guess the reason why is it's Real World. And a lot of why I read is for escapism, same for writing. Also I've been studying it my whole life, so I guess I never really put it in the book category even if it is one.

Many kudos to you!

*hugs* Thanks...I haven't always been so good about reading it, but I try. :D Don't get me wrong, I read *a lot* of books outside of the Bible, but it's the book I can go to and find an encourgaging word (or two) when I need it. Plus, I always like finding practical applications to what I read and try to apply it to my life. :D

And I understand what you mean. It's a lot more than a book, even though on the surface, that's what it is. :D

LOL I love your book choices. Sherlock Holmes iz epicness *nods*
And the bible...*hangs head* I so wouldn't have listed it, even though I like reading it sometimes, and I do count myself as Christan.

Yeah, Sherlock Holmes is a lot of fun to read. I read The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, loved it and then had to go back and get the whole collection. :D

Like I said to Laura, the Bible can be tough to read. I've finally got myself in the habit of reading a chapter a day, but it's taken a while. :)

I had to read a bunch of Sherlock Holmes books as a teen, and I grew into liking it. It's just so cool!
